Let's Do This

Described by the Economist as a 'bureaucratic quagmire', the planning process can be a major hurdle in project development. KM Planning Strategy works to successfully entitle projects by balancing the often competing requirements of State and local environmental regulations, preservation standards, design guidelines, Planning Code, and neighbor input.

SERVICES WE PROVIDE

PERMIT STRATEGY & DESIGN

Confidently hire the architect of your dreams. We'll strategize with you to navigate the permitting process.

COMPLIANCE

In a pickle? We work with you to bring your property into compliance with the Planning Code and eliminate property violations.

PROJECT APPLICATIONS

When you're submitting forms that become a public record, you want to make sure you have it right. If your project requires going before the Planning Commission or the Board of Supervisors, we develop comprehensive project applications, a first step to successful project entitlement.

PERMIT APPLICATIONS

Is that a new unit in your pocket doors? Sometimes permit applications can get lost in translation between the architects, engineers, and home owners who submit them and the Planners that review them. We work with your contractors so that building permit applications can be easily reviewed and approved by the Planning Department.

PROPERTY DUE DILIGENCE

Let's know what you're getting into before you commit.  We review property histories and identify development potential before or after a property purchase.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Just want us to tell you when it's done? We love to meet and greet neighbors, chit chat with our fellow Planners, work with your architect, and present before the Planning Commission.  We ensure that all components of the project are handled professionally. We value communication and consistency throughout the entire process.

Our Better Halves

Our clients are mathematicians, mad scientists, and locksmiths. They are dreamers, thinkers, and doers. They start businesses, build homes, and evolve their institutions. They believe in equality, inclusivity, and that when done right, change is good.
